Bandai Namco held a special live stream on July 1, teasing two events for the Tales of Series as well as announcing an anniversary event for Tales of Arise. The stream featured Tales of Series producer Yusuke Tomizawa, and three seiyuu: Katsuyuki Konishi (Lloyd in Tales of Symphonia), Masaya Onosaka (Zelos in Tales of Symphonia), and Yasuyuki Kase (Dohalim in Tales of Arise).

Katsuyuki Konishi and Masaya Onosaka have been official ambassadors for the Tales of Series for years, appearing on nearly every event and stream. Yasuyuki Kase recently became a regular guest seeing Dohalim is now the most popular character in the series, as per the fan poll results revealed at Tales of Festival 2021.

Tales of Arise Anniversary Event Announced For September 25, 2022

During the live stream, Tales of Series producer Yusuke Tomizawa announced the Road to Tales of Festival project, which will include several events these next few months. The project will culminate with Tales of Festival 2023, whose dates were announced for June 10 and 11, 2023, at Yokohama Arena. This announcement also confirmed that there won’t be a Tales of Festival in 2022.

The first event of Road to Tales of Festival will be the Tales of Arise 1st Anniversary Party, held on September 25 at the Yokosuka Arts Theatre in Japan. The event got its own key visual as well, seen below:

Moreover, Yusuke Tomizawa also announced two more events for November 2022 and January 2023. Additional details will be revealed at a later date, and these two dates are only teased with a “Coming Soon” on the Road to Tales of Festival official page.

These events are part of the celebrations leading to Tales of Festival 2023, as the Tales of Festival event will be celebrating its 15th anniversary. As such, we shouldn’t set our expectations high when it comes to game-related announcements. With that said, Yusuke Tomizawa has been teasing the announcement of remakes or remasters for over a year now.

The first time Tomizawa teased these was in a Twitter discussion with fans in August 2021, and a few days later in an interview for Arise‘s release. We translated these in our past coverage.

Tomizawa again mentioned remakes and remasters in a January 2022 interview with Famitsu magazine. I highly recommend checking out the translation by Abyssal Chronicles. Lastly, the producer again mentioned remakes and remasters in a March 2022 interview we translated.
