Warner Bros. Games and Turtle Rock Studios have announced the next big DLC expansion for the co-op zombie shooter Back 4 Blood, and it’s called Children of the Worm.
The Children of the Worm expansion will offer zombie-slayers a new story campaign and a new playable character in the form of “Prophet” Dan who plays heavily into the new campaign with his quirky, end-of-the-world-savior personality. There are also eight new character skins, 12 new weapon skins, some new weapons, accessories, cards, and more to keep the fresh blood flowing.
So when does Children of the Worm release? You and your mates will be able to tackle the new Children of the Worm campaign – and try out the new threads and weapons – from August 30th, 2022.
If you bought into the Back 4 Blood Annual Pass, Back 4 Blood: Deluxe Edition, or Back 4 Blood: Ultimate Edition, you’ll get access to Children of the Worm automatically at no extra cost. On the other hand, if you just bought the regular edition or downloaded Back 4 Blood via Game Pass, you’ll still be able to buy the new expansion as a standalone purchase. Pricing has not been announced as of yet, but expect it to closely follow the pricing of the previous expansion – Tunnels of Terror – of $14.99/£11.99.
