Delaware Valley Arts Alliance presents A Collective’s production “War of the Worlds MOSAIC,” adapted from HG Wells’ classic novel by A Collective Playwright in Residence Chris Booth at the Tusten Theatre in Narrowsburg, NY on Saturday, October 26 at 8 pm.
Using Booth’s new adaptation of the novel, A Collective will perform this production live for a theater audience with a style that harkens back to classic radio — but with a twist. What’s the twist? Audiences will find out on October 26 at 8 pm at the Tusten Theatre in Narrowsburg, NY.
“We are thrilled to collaborate with the DVAA on presenting this new adaptation of ‘War of the Worlds,’ said Catherine Pulley, Artistic Director of the A Collective. “Our ensemble of actors and sound artists will bring this modern adaptation to life while paying homage to the pioneers of radio theater. What’s incredible about Wells’ novel is how relevant it is for today’s audiences who will see themselves in the characters and the story.”
A Collective is a New York City-based ensemble of actors, playwrights and artists dedicated to providing access to theater and creating productions that are reflective of the world in which we live. This is their first collaboration with the DVAA.
The special event is being recorded for later broadcast Sunday, October 27, 8pm by WJFF Radio Catskill as a part of their Fall Fund Drive.
