Rudy Giuliani has been ordered by a judge to turn over almost everything he has in order to pay $148 million in damages for defaming Georgia election workers Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.
On Tuesday, Manhattan federal Judge Lewis Liman ordered Donald Trump’s former attorney to put most of his personal property into a receivership controlled by Freeman and Moss within seven days, along with cash and various luxury items. This includes his Upper East Side apartment, many watches, sports memorabilia, furniture, and even his television. Giuliani’s team had argued that the legal fees Trump and his campaign allegedly owe their client for his efforts to overturn the election should be off limits until after the election, but that money must go to the election workers too.
Giuliani tried to declare bankruptcy earlier this year to avoid paying the damages. He was already in major financial trouble before the 2023 defamation verdict, and he said he could not afford to pay the colossal sum a jury awarded Freeman and Moss, who is her daughter. But the former mayor’s bankruptcy case was dismissed in July and since then the plaintiffs have been attempting to make Giuliani turn over the money they are owed.

The Receivership Property shall include:
• The shares evidencing Defendant’s interest in 45 East 66th Street Owners Corp., appurtenant to the apartment located at 45 East 66th Street, Apt. 10W, New York, NY 10065, and any proprietary lease, and other document entitling him to ownership and possession of such apartment;
• All rights and interests in, and cause of action for, fees owed to Mr. Giuliani for services rendered in 2020 and 2021 to former President Trump’s presidential campaign and the Republican National Committee;
• The nonexempt cash in the checking accounts held at Citibank, N.A. with account numbers ending in -1428 and -5812;
• Mercedes-Benz, Model SL500, model year 1980;
• Various items of furniture;
• Television;
• Sports Memorabilia;
• Signed Reggie Jackson picture;
• Signed Yankee Stadium picture;
• Signed Joe DiMaggio shirt;
• Costume jewelry;
• Diamond Ring;
• 2 Bulova Watches;
• 5 Shinola Watches;
• 1 Tiffany & Co. Watch;
• 1 Seiko Watch;
• 1 Frank Muller Watch;
• 1 Graham Watch;
• 1 Corium Watch;
• 1 Rolex Watch;
• 2 IWC Watches;
• 1 Invicta Watch;
• 2 Breitling Watches;
• 1 Raymond Weil Watch;

The only tiny silver lining for Giuliani: He might be able to keep his Palm Beach condo and Yankees World Series rings. Per CNN:
Liman hasn’t yet decided if Giuliani will be able to keep a Palm Beach, Florida, condominium he also owns, or the four New York Yankees World Series rings he has, which Giuliani’s son contends his father gave him.
While attempting to overturn the 2020 election on Trump’s behalf, Giuliani told Georgia officials that footage showed Freeman and Moss exchanging a USB drive while counting ballots. Moss testified before the House January 6 committee that her mother was actually giving her a ginger mint, and following Giuliani’s accusations, the pair became the target of harassment and death threats. “It turned my life upside down,” Moss said.
