When Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) officers arrived at the Las Vegas Strip property on Tuesday morning, they found Robinson, 24, smelling of alcohol, police said.

Robinson Mumbled, Was Swaying

“His speech was mumbled and his body was slightly swaying side to side,” according to an LVMPD arrest report.

He claims he had just two drinks between 10 p.m. and 11 p.m. on Monday, then had no more alcohol, Las Vegas TV station KLAS reported.

The crash took place several hours later at 5:45 a.m. Tuesday, as Robinson was driving to the Vdara Hotel & Spa, adjacent to the Aria.

Robinson weighs about 260 pounds and stands at six feet, five inches tall. Typically, larger individuals have a higher alcohol tolerance, according to online sources.

Victim Pinned

The unnamed victim was “pinned between two cars” after being struck by Robinson’s vehicle, according to police. Her injuries didn’t appear to be serious and she was able to leave the accident scene before police arrived. The woman wasn’t identified by the LVMPD.

Neither Robinson nor an unnamed passenger in his car were injured. The passenger didn’t provide a statement to officers.

Robinson was booked at the Clark County Detention Center and his bond was set at $2K, according to Sports Illustrated. Robinson was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in local court on June 4.

The Raiders confirmed Robinson was involved in an incident this week but gave no details.

The Raiders are aware of an incident involving Janarius Robinson last night,” the team revealed in a statement issued to the Las Vegas Review-Journal earlier this week. “The club is in the process of gathering more information.”

There’s no word if the team will take any action against Robinson.

Robinson played during the Raiders’ last six games of the 2023 season, making eight tackles and a sack during those games.

Previously, he was on the practice squads of the Raiders, Minnesota Vikings, and Philadelphia Eagles. During his college days, he played for Florida State.

The crash took place five days before Super Bowl LVIII is played by the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers at the Raiders’ home field, Allegiant Stadium, on Sunday.
